Applications
Formal applications should provide the information indicated below. Applicants’ organizations are encouraged to contact the Office of International Affairs prior to submitting an application via email if they would like to discuss proposed ideas or request further information.
Funding
Applications for funding should provide the following:
Educational or Training Program
If requesting support for an educational or training program, the application should include an attachment with the following information (maximum of 2 pages):
(a) Name and contact information of the applicant organization.
(b) Description of the organization, including its mission statement, and a brief historical background of the organization.
(c) Name of the education or training program.
(d) Overview of objectives of the training program.
(e) Description who in the organization will organize and carry out the program or event.
(f) Organization’s total budget, as well as the estimated budget needed for the training program.
(g) Any additional information about the training event.
National Psychology Organization
If requesting support for the growth or development of a national psychology organization, the application should include an attachment with the following information: (maximum of 2 pages).
(a) Name and contact information of the applicant organization.
(b) Description of the organization, including its mission statement and a brief historical background of the organization.
(c) Overview of developmental goals of the national psychological organization.
(d) Description of the developmental program.
(e) Description of who in the organization will organize and carry out the developmental program.
(f) Organization’s total budget, as well as the estimated budget needed for the developmental program.
(g) Any additional information about the developmental program.
For Both
Plan for evaluation of the training or developmental program (i.e., what data can be collected to evaluate the success of this project?) (maximum 1 page).
Applicant organizations must agree to provide to APA a summary report of the outcomes of the training program, or developmental program within one month of completion of the project.
CIRP criteria for evaluation of proposals
Application comes from a national psychological association.
Quality of the information for items 2b-2g above, or 3b-3g above.
Estimates number of people impacted.
Clear method to evaluate the project and important outcomes of the project.
The application form and supporting materials may be sent in electronic or paper format.

Please send supporting documents as email attachments in MS Word or PDF format. Each file must be labeled with the organization’s name and document type (e.g., orgname-event-budget.doc). Please put "National Organization Grant" in the email subject line. Send submission to the APA International Office.
