Description

The Fund for Excellence in the Teaching of Psychology provides financial support for the teaching awards program administered by the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. At the annual APA convention, the Society honors four exemplary teachers by giving this and four other awards: The Robert S. Daniel Teaching Excellence Award (4 Year College or University); the Wayne Weiten Teaching Excellence Award (2 Year College Award); the Mary Margaret Moffett Memorial Teaching Excellence Award (High School); and the Wilbert J. McKeachie Teaching Excellence Award (Graduate Students). The Fund's assets are derived entirely from donations from generous individuals and organizations that seek to promote and recognize excellence in the teaching of psychology. Note: In 2009, this award was renamed the Jane S. Honen Teaching Excellence Award.
