NOTE: This award was formerly known as the Division 5 Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award (1995-2001).
Award recipients will receive the following:
An invitation to make a presentation at the APA convention the year the award is conferred (presentation length varies by award).
A cash award of $200 to help offset travel expenses to the APA convention for the year the award is conferred.
An APA convention registration waiver for the year the award is conferred.
An honorary one-year membership to Division 5.
An awards plaque.
The first three of these components are based on the assumption that the award recipient will attend the APA convention in the year the award is conferred. If the award recipient does not attend the APA convention, the award recipient shall receive:
An honorary one-year membership to Division 5.
An awards plaque.
Eligibility
Neither the nominator nor nominee need be a current or former member of either the APA or Division 5. Both self-nominations and nominations of others will be considered.
How to Apply
Nomination materials should include:
A nomination letter.
Two letters of support.
The curriculum vitae of the nominee.
A text or MS Word file containing the names, affiliations, email addresses, telephone numbers, and mailing addresses of the nominee and nominator.
Submission of nomination materials (including the name of the award) must be sent electronically to Thanos Patelis.
