FBI Middle Eastern Foreign Language Honors Internship Program

This program offers students an ‘insider's view’ of FBI operations and provides them a chance to explore the many career opportunities with the Bureau, utilizing their individuality and unique critical skills.

Due to the very selective and highly competitive nature of the FBI Middle Eastern Foreign Language Honors Internship Program, a limited number of internships are awarded each summer. Only individuals possessing strong academic credentials, proficiency of a Middle Eastern language, outstanding character, a high degree of motivation and the willingness to represent the FBI upon returning to their respective campus, will be selected. In order to be considered, individuals must have all of the following qualifications at the time they apply:

  • Undergraduate students must be between their junior and senior years and attending an accredited college/university full-time.

  • Graduating seniors are eligible to participate in the program the summer immediately following graduation from college.

  • All undergraduate and graduate applicants, with the exception of graduating seniors, must be returning to their respective college/university for at least one semester immediately following the completion of the internship.

  • Students must be attending a college/university that is accredited by one of the regional national institutional associations recognized by the United States Secretary of Education.

  • Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or above.

  • Students must possess listening comprehension and translation proficiency of a Middle Eastern language.

  • All students must be United States citizens.
