Call for Nominations: Commission on Accreditation (COA) Public Interest/Individual and Cultural Diversity Seat

The APA Board for the Advancement of Psychology in the Public Interest (BAPPI) is seeking nominations to fill the Public Interest/Individual and Cultural Diversity Seat on the Commission on Accreditation (CoA). The individual appointed will serve a three-year, non-renewable term that will commence on January 1, 2008.

BAPPI is seeking the nomination of psychologists who bring scholarly expertise on issues of individual and cultural diversity in the context of advancing the science and practice of psychology in the public interest for appointment to a three-year, non-renewable term.

The CoA meets 3 times per year (March/April, July and October) for approximately 4 days each (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun am) in meetings where comprehensive reviews are conducted of doctoral, internship, and postdoctoral residency programs in professional psychology. In an effort to facilitate the transition to the larger Commission on Accreditation, the CoA will have an additional 4 day meeting in January or February 2008, that will consist of reviewing and developing accreditation policies and procedures and an orientation for the Commission as a whole. For additional information about CoA please visit the APA Accreditation home page at www.apa.org/ed/accreditation.
