Apportionment Ballot Results—Legislative Year 2005

The 2003 Bylaws Amendment and Apportionment Ballot for legislative year 2005 were mailed to all eligible voters on October 31. The proposed bylaws amendment on Pro/Con Statements was defeated with 7,118 (66.24%) votes not to approve and 3,627 (33.76%) to approve. A bylaws amendment must be approved by 2/3rds of those voting in order to pass. The proposed new language would have required that all bylaws amendment ballots include an explanation of the proposed amendment and would have eliminated Pro/Con Statements altogether.
