Get Ready for the 2007 APA Convention!
APAGS has developed another slate of excellent programs and social activities for students attending the APA annual convention in San Francisco (August 17-20, 2007). Programs cover topics such grant writing, surviving the dissertation process, diversity, disability issues in psychology, mentoring and international opportunities for psychologists, to name a few. In addition to APAGS’ regular programming, many symposia, workshops, and meetings will take place in the APAGS Suite. More information is available on the APAGS website: www.apa.org/apags.

Learn to Navigate the Internship Application Process
APAGS will host a pre-convention internship workshop on Thursday, August 16 in San Francisco prior to APA's 2007 Convention. The workshop will offer students tips on finding a psychology internship and guidance on the application and Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) Match process. Participants will receive a free copy of "Internships in Psychology: The APAGS Workbook for Writing Successful Applications and Finding the Right Match" (APA, 2004). Registration costs $25 for APAGS members and $30 for nonmembers. Registration after July 15 is $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers. For more information, please contact Heather Dade via Email.

Interested in volunteering at the annual APA convention in San Francisco, CA? Sign-up to be an APAGS ambassador and help provide information to conference attendees, distribute APAGS promotional items, and monitor an APAGS program. Apply for an APAGS Scholarship or Award
APAGS is now accepting applications for the 2007 scholarships and awards. APAGS scholarships are available to graduate student members of APAGS who are enrolled at least halftime as a student in good standing at a regionally accredited university.
