Apply for Reproductive Behavior/Population Studies Grants
APF is accepting applications for the 2008 APF/COGDOP graduate research scholarships. Scholarships available include the $3,000 Ruth G. and Joseph D. Matarazzo Scholarship, the $2,000 Clarence J. Rosecrans Scholarship, and eleven $1,000 scholarships.
Students should contact their psychology department to inquire about the nomination process.

Funding Available for Innovative Research and Programs
APF’s Visionary grants and Raymond and Rosalee Weiss Innovative Research and Programs Grant offer $5,000 and $10,000 respectively for research and programs in the following areas:
- Finding connections between mental and physical health to ensure well-being;
- Understanding and preventing violence to create a safer, more humane world; and
- Supporting the sustained rebuilding of communities in the aftermath of disaster.
Proposals for $5,000 are considered quarterly, the next deadline is July 1. The deadline for proposals for $10,000 is June 1.

Introducing the First Annual Gittler Award
The new Joseph B. Gittler Award offers $10,000 for the most scholarly contribution to the philosophical foundations of psychological knowledge. Scholars and graduate students are invited to apply. Self nominations are welcome.

Combating Hate Crimes
APF is offering up to $20,000 for projects that seek to eliminate hate crimes and prejudice.
APF strongly encourages programs with a strong foundation in research and those that have, or show promise for, broad-based community support.

Healing After Disasters
APF will offer a grant to up to $10,000 for programs that use psychology to help people who are the victims of disasters or crises. APF supports programs that target the emotional and psychological needs of people and communities as they strive to recover and rebuild in the wake of a disaster. Funding for Neuropsychology Graduate Students
APF seeks applications for its two $2,500 Benton-Meier Scholarships in neuropsychology. Applicants must show a record of achievement that will lead to a promising career.

Funding Available for Counseling Psychology Programs
Each year, APF and the Society of Counseling Psychology (Div. 17) provide up to $5,000 in grants to support not-for-profit activities that enhance the science and practice of counseling psychology. Apply for Mental Illness Dissertation Award
Applications are being accepted for the 2008 $3,000 Todd E. Husted Award, which recognizes an individual whose dissertation shows potential to help improve mental health services for those with severe and persistent mental illness.
