Division 47: Society for Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology seeks to further the clinical, educational, and scientific foundations of exercise and sport psychology. Through Division 47, both practitioners and scientists with common interests have the opportunity to interact and to further their personal and professional capabilities. The division currently has committees focused on diversity issues and education and training. Additionally, the Division offers two special sections - Section I: Running Psychologists, the group that hosts Ray’s Race at the annual APA Convention and Section II: Performance Psychology which brings together members who are interested in research, teaching and professional practice in a variety of performance domains.
