Division 53 - Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology represents psychologists who are active in teaching, research, clinical services, administration, and advocacy in clinical child psychology to the APA and the public. Division 53 publishes the Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and the Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology Newsletter and sponsors a full program at the annual APA convention. The Division has established research and professional service awards, including an annual student research award, and also sponsors publications describing graduate programs and clinical internships that provide specialized training in clinical child psychology. The Division also supports task forces on the development and evaluation of evidence-based treatments for childhood disorders and coordinates efforts for dissemination of information about evidence-based services.
