Routh Student Research GrantBrief Description: Annual research scholar grant for student members Awardee Receives: Up to $750 Eligibility/Requirements: Student members, and must be conducted under the supervision of a faculty advisor, and must be in an area consistent with the field of pediatric psychology Nomination/Application Process: Proposals should include 100-word abstract, project description (maximum 7 pages), detailed budget, statement of qualifications, and letter of recommendation from faculty supervisor. Awardee Receives: $750 Eligibility/Requirements: Student members, and must be conducted under the supervision of a faculty advisor, must be in an area consistent with the field of pediatric psychology, research must have been completed while a graduate student, intern, or postdoctoral fellow. Student's advisor can be co-author but not primary author. The paper must not have been submitted elsewhere. Nomination/Application Process: Limit of 20 pages, including tables, figures, and references, include a letter clarifying student's status at time research was conducted. Nomination/Application Process: Maximum 7 page, single spaced proposal, including a 100 word abstract, description of the project, detailed budget, CV, and supporting faculty supervisor letter (if applicant is a student). Examples of types of significant contributions include:
The award is not given in recognition of those usual or expected contributions to SPP provided by its elected officials. However, it can be given to a previous executive committee member to recognize organization contributions substantially beyond those expected. Nominations may be made by sending current curriculum vitae and letter describing the nominee's qualifying characteristics. Logan Wright Distinguished Service AwardThe Logan Wright Distinguished Research Award recognizes excellence and significant contributions in establishing the scientific base of pediatric psychology. The importance of this research award becomes more evident as the field moves from intuitive to an empirical base. Nominations can be made for one particularly significant contribution or a series of contributions that are available for scrutiny and documentation. Nominations and endorsements should include an evaluative summary of the contribution, noting the positive impact of the nominee's research and detailing the extent of scholarship given in productivity. self nominations will not be considered since this award represents recognition of scholarly contributions by one's peers. The nominees and the award recipient t need not be SPP members nor necessarily active in SPP activities, but they should be or should have been on the front line of active, productive research in the field of pediatric psychology. Nominations may be made by sending a current curriculum vitae and a letter describing the nominee's qualifying characteristics. Martin P. Levin Mentorship AwardSPP is pleased to call for nominations for the Martin P. Levin Mentorship Award sponsored by the Levin Foundation. The award honors faculty in pediatric psychology who mentor students in an exemplary way, providing professional advice and guidance through various phases of the graduate program.
