Division 10 -- Society for the Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity and the Arts
Membership: 489 members and 131 affiliates
Publication: Bulletin of Psychology and the Arts (two issues per year)
Basic contract cost in 2005: $486.00
Average hours per month: 2.25
Division Services provides the following services at the rate of $18.00 per hour:
- receives and processes division membership applications and dues payments
- maintains the affiliate (non-APA members) database and communicates with APA membership office about member categories
- sends out welcome letters to new members and affiliates
- handles annual renewal of division affiliates
- coordinates mailing label orders for division mailings (includes ordering member and affiliate labels and forwarding them to the printer/mail house)
- sends apportionment mailing to membership
- mails and tallies votes on bylaws amendments
- responds to expressions of interest in the division--individual as well as APA “division interest form” mailings
- provides assistance to executive committee members--handles correspondence and mailing as requested
- gathers materials for Division Services booth at APA Convention
Division 38 -- Health Psychology
Membership: 2602 members and 421 affiliates
Publications: Health Psychology (bimonthly journal) and The Health Psychologist (quarterly newsletter)
Basic contract cost in 2005: $1242.00
Average hours per month: 5.75
Division Services provides the following services at the rate of $18.00 per hour:

- receives and processes division membership applications and dues payments
- maintains the affiliate (non-APA members) database and communicates with APA membership office about member categories
- sends out welcome letters to new members and affiliates
- handles annual renewal of division affiliates
- coordinates mailing label orders for division mailings (includes ordering member and affiliate labels and forwarding them to the printer/mail house)
- responds to expressions of interest in the division--individual as well as APA “division interest form” mailings
- handles distribution of information to executive committee members by mail, fax, and email, including notices, reports, and agendas for executive meetings
- arranges for meetings of the executive committee including meeting room, hotel, and catering arrangements
- manages a number of listservs, including adding and deleting members as needed and sending out messages
- processes mailings for apportionment ballot, elections, recruitment offer, and invitations for convention events such as president's reception as needed
- creates letterhead, agendas, and rosters for division officers and committee chairs
- creates certificates and plaques for new members and award winners
