Guidelines for Annual Reports From Divisions

Please indicate at the top of the page: (1) annual report for 2002 (2) the division's name, and (3) the name and division office title of the person who prepared the report.

The following information should be provided in 2-3 pages:

(1) Division Annual Report Cover-sheet;

(2) Membership and Elections Information including new categories of membership, non-APA membership totals in each category, officers elected;

(3) Special Projects or New Publications undertaken during the year;

(4) Organizational Developments including amendments to the division's bylaws or rules of procedures or the bylaws or rules of procedures of any of its sections or chapters;

(5) New Committees, Chapters or Sections including their mission statements or proposed activities;

(6) Advocacy (e.g., any endeavors addressing legislative or other policy issues at the federal, state or local government levels);

(7) Interorganizational Linkages including the name of the organization and the nature of the linkage (e.g., liaison, affiliation, representation);

(8) Other Information as may be required to present an accurate accounting of the division's activities during the reporting period.

(9) Comments on the Association's activities or developments in Central Office.

Divisions may introduce also a new business item for action by Council along with their annual report. You may wish to contact the Division Services Office for further information on how best to present your motion, to research the existence of other group's efforts to attain a similar change, or to suggest an alternate means of meeting the need through other governance groups or APA programs or offices.
