APA Stress Survey Findings Released
Within the first month of its release, the 2010 survey appeared in 672 stories online or in print publications. In addition, nearly 400 stories about the survey have been carried on television. The publicity value of the broadcast coverage alone is estimated at more than $1.9 million.
2011 Changes to Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI)
Currently a volunteer program, the PQRI provides financial incentive for health care professionals, including psychologists, who participate in Medicare to report data on specific quality measures to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Among the changes in the PQRI for 2011, participants are required to report on fewer applicable cases. The program becomes mandatory in 2015.
