APAGS offers tips and services to attract and retain student leadership

What are the top three ways to retain students? We might have the answer. The American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) — the world’s largest network of psychology graduate students — believes that division involvement by students is vitally important and is committed to helping you attract and keep students involved in the activities of your Division. APAGS offers a short handout with informed suggestions, accessible online (PDF, 573KB). Additionally, APAGS encourages Divisions to appoint or recruit a graduate student to serve as a member of the APAGS Division Student Representative Network. This consists of an active email list, training and networking opportunities at Convention, and leadership development throughout the year. Representatives often gain the support they need to promote their division’s mission and accomplish critical goals. As of May 16, the following divisions have DSRN representatives: 2, 5, 16, 17, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, 40, 44, 45, 47, 50, 51, 52, 54 and 56.
