2013 Division Leadership Conference

More than 125 division leaders convened in January for the annual training that included both presidents-elect and program chairs this year

Focused on the theme of "Collaboration," division presidents-elect and 2014 program chairs met in Washington, D.C., for the annual Division Leadership Conference. Hosted by the Committee on Division/APA Relations, this annual conference is a division president's introduction to APA and the fundamentals of running a division.

As part of the convention makeover that will take place in 2014, division program chairs were invited to this year's DLC to begin the process of collaborating and defining integrated themes that will be part of the central programming for 2014.

For the presidents-elect, several APA staff joined in the weekend, providing training, resources and wisdom for the leaders. In addition, Peggy Hoffman, CAE, provided a keynote presentation on "Igniting Your Volunteer Pool."
