Legal & finance tips for divisions
Division Accounting services are officially in-house.
It has been almost two months since APA brought the servicing of Division Accounting in-house and since the implementation of our new accounting system, Serenic NAV. It has certainly been a bumpy road, but we feel we are making some great progress. We’ve had the pleasure of speaking with several of you over the phone or through email over the past two months, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to smooth out our processes, build our Division Finance Team, and hopefully make some improvements along the way.
As we move forward together, we encourage feedback on our current processes and on things that may not have worked very well in the past. We look forward to hearing all of your ideas and desired changes so that we can evaluate them for possible implementation. You can send us comments, suggestions and concerns, or we still have room in our Financial Transitions Advisory Group. We would love to have you join us for this meeting to be held sometime in September.
We have many new treasurers out there, and we have an excellent resource to help you get started. Please find our new treasurer packet (PDF, 472KB) online. This is an excellent resource even for our seasoned treasurers, and it has been updated to reflect the changes to accounting services. Feel free to pull updated forms from this packet, and let us know if you would like an Excel version of any form.
Just a friendly reminder, you can reach the Division Finance team online. This is the best way for emailed reimbursement/disbursement requests to be processed and to receive answers to your questions since everyone on the Division Finance team can access this account. We also recommend adding "DivAcct@apa.org" to your address book to reduce the risk of us being sent to your spam folder. Jennifer Aldridge, manager, and Holly Flynn, supervisor, can be reached directly as well.
APA's Central Office can provide division leaders with finance or legal support. For additional questions, contact:
- Finance questions: Jennifer Aldridge or Holly Flynn
- Legal/contract questions: Jesse Raben
