Apportionment ballot results announced

Divisions as a group picked up one additional seat and SPTAs as a group lost one seat.

As you may have known the 2013 apportionment ballot for legislative year 2015 was sent to all voting members on Nov. 1. The election closed Monday, Dec. 16. The ballots have been counted and the Election Committee has certified the election. A summary of the results follows:

Divisions as a group picked up one additional seat: 

  • Four divisions lost a seat: Divs. 8 (Society for Personality and Social Psychology), 16 (School), 32 (Society for Humanistic Psychology) and 35 (Society for the Psychology of Women).
  • Five divisions gained a seat: Divs. 12 (Society of Clinical Psychology), 29 (Psychotherapy), 40 (Society for Clinical Neuropsychology), 50 (Society for Addiction Psychology) and 56 (Trauma).

SPTAs as a group lost one seat: 

  • New Jersey lost their second seat.
  • California, New York and Pennsylvania retained their second seats.
