Division 18 hosts gun violence webinars

Psychologists in Public Service is offering three webinars on gun violence with continuing education credits at low rates on Jan. 15, 22 and 29.

APA Div. 18 (Psychologists in Public Service) is hosting three webinars on gun violence in January.  

  • Jan. 15, 2014, 1-2 p.m.
    Robert Fein, PhD, ABPP, forensic and national security psychologist, will present “Preventing Targeted Violence: An Approach to Threat Assessment Ideas and Cases for Consideration.”  
  • Jan. 22, 2014, 3-4 p.m.
    Joel Dvoskin, PhD, ABPP, forensic psychologist consultant, will present “Mental Health and Gun Violence: Myths and Realities.”
  • Jan. 29, 2014, 3-4 p.m.
    Ellen Scrivner, PhD, ABPP, executive fellow, Police Foundation, will present “The Changing Face of Violence in America.” 

Each session is a one-hour live webinar that offers one continuing education credit. Each is free to Div. 18 members and affiliates without CE credits. There are fees of $5 to $15 for CE and for those with no membership in Div. 18.
