Newly Released Statistics Underscore Need for More Qualified Mental Health Professionals

Statistics recently released by the Bureau of Health Professions within the Heath Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) highlight the critical shortage of qualified mental health professionals and the urgent need to address this pressing issue. There are currently 3,611 Mental Health Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) serving 88,683,917 people. 5,791 qualified mental health professionals will need to be hired to remove the Mental Health HPSA Designation.
