APA again endorses the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)
APA joined 88 other organizations in signing on to a July 10 letter (PDF, 32 KB) asking members of Congress to include lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Americans under federal employment nondiscrimination policies. Current law protects individuals from workplace discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age and disability. Advocates for years have pressured Congress to pass ENDA (H.R. 1397, S. 811) to address discrimination faced by sexual minorities in the workplace and APA will continue to work toward this end.
