Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) populations face stigma, discrimination, hate-based violence and prejudice. APA Government Relations staff works to advance federal policy that protects LGBT individuals, including in the areas of hate crimes, bullying prevention and workplace protections.
