December 2011 Policy Update

APA’s Public Interest Government Relations Office recently:

• Moderated a panel on domestic violence and children at the Annual Rosalynn Carter Symposium on Mental Health Policy;
• Supported the reintroduction of legislation to enhance the response of health systems to dating and domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking; and
• Signed-on to a coalition letter in support of maintaining the allowance for federal funds to be used for syringe exchange programs.
