January 2012 Policy Update

December accomplishments of APA’s Public Interest Government Relations Office include: 

• Coordinating meetings with congressional offices on HIV/AIDS issues; 

• Providing written congressional testimony for a hearing on child abuse; 

• Collaborating with Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle to host a workshop on the mental health of military service members, veterans, and their families; 

• Convening a meeting of associations that adminster Minority Fellowship Programs; and 

• Releasing its inaugural Annual Report (PDF, 903KB).
