APAGS Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs Advocates for the Minority Fellowship Program

Committee member meets with Rep. David Price, D-N.C.

During their recent meeting, the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students’ Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs received advocacy training from Public Interest Government Relations Office (PI-GRO) staff. Committee members learned about effective strategies for a successful Hill visit and how to support the Minority Fellowship Program. The training culminated in visits with committee members’ congressional delegations to advocate on behalf of the program.

Advocacy for MFP stands as a key priority for APA and PI-GRO. Please sign up for the APA Federal Action Network to learn more and help support future initiatives.
