APA’s Science Fellow Placed at NSF for the Year

Kim Montgomery, PhD, will spend her year working as a Special Assistant in the National Science Foundation’s (NSF’s) Office of Legislative and Public Affairs (OLPA).
Kim Montgomery, PhD, APA’s 2009-2010 Executive Branch Science Fellow, will spend her year working as a Special Assistant in the National Science Foundation’s (NSF’s) Office of Legislative and Public Affairs (OLPA).  Trained as a neuroscientist, Montgomery will work on science media issues and serve as a liaison between NSF and Capitol Hill.  She was chosen as the finalist for this Science Directorate-funded fellowship program, designed to provide post-doctoral psychologists with invaluable experience in the federal government’s scientific enterprise.  Applications for the 2010-2011 Executive Branch Science Fellowship Program are due by January 8, 2010 to Heather Kelly, PhD, in the APA Science Directorate.
