APA Adds New Journals in 2008

The American Psychological Association has added the following periodicals to its highly recognized list of scholarly and professional journals:

  • International Journal of Play Therapy
  • Journal of Diversity in Higher Education
  • Canadian Journal of Behavioral Science
  • Canadian Journal of Experimental Psychology
  • Canadian Journal of Psychology

APA journals are among the most widely circulated and most frequently cited publications in the field of psychology. Coupled with other marketing initiatives or used exclusively, they deliver a highly specialized, targeted circulation of influential buyers. Psychologists and other professionals in the behavioral and social sciences rely on APA journals for current research and developments in their specialty. Be sure to add the following new APA titles to your 2008 media plan. Below are brief summaries of each publication.

International Journal of Play Therapy

Published semiannually (April and October)

International Journal of Play Therapy, a semiannual professional publication produced by the Association for Play Therapy has joined the APA to publish this important journal. International Journal of Play Therapy publishes and disseminates original research, theoretical articles, and substantive reviews of topics germane to play therapy.

Journal of Diversity in Higher Education

Published quarterly (March, June, September, and December)

Journal of Diversity in Higher Education is a new quarterly journal that offers research findings, theory, and promising practices to help guide the efforts of institutions of higher education in the pursuit of inclusive excellence. Canadian Journal of Behavioral Science

The Canadian Psychological Association is partnering with the American Psychological Association to publish Canadian Journal of Behavioral Science. Each quarterly issue includes empirical research in many areas of psychology, including abnormal, behavioral, community, counseling, educational, environmental, developmental, health, clinical, personality, psychometrics, and social.
