This article, which first appeared in the Winter 2002 APAGS Newsletter, contains information for APAGS members about the importance of belonging to both the American Psychological Association and State and Provincial Psychological Associations. These associations advocate for psychologists in the legislature, in the public sector, in private practice, and for students in training.
