APA and CDC Announce Healthy Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Student Project

The APA Education Directorate has implemented a new program, with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division of Adolescent and School Health (CDC-DASH). The Healthy Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Students Project is a five year collaboration between CDC-DASH, the Center for Psychology in Schools and Education in the Education Directorate and the Office of Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Concerns in the Public Interest Directorate. The Project seeks to reduce the risks of HIV infection, unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, and address other salient health issues of LGB youth. There are opportunities available for interested graduate students. For additional information about how you may become involved with the project, contact Dr. Dusty Porter, Healthy LGB Student Project Manager.
