Be an APAGS Ambassador at the APA Convention
The application for APAGS ambassadors for the 2015 APA convention in Toronto, Ontario will open in early February. Please check back then to sign up.
Want to maximize your networking opportunities while attending APA’s Annual Convention? Sign-up to be an ambassador for the APA of Graduate Students (APAGS).
As an APAGS ambassador your primary responsibilities will include:
Monitoring an APAGS program. As an APAGS program monitor you will be responsible for the distribution and collection of program evaluations. Each ambassador is responsible for monitoring at least one program during convention (a 1-2 hour commitment depending on the length of the program you are assigned).
Providing information to conference attendees, particularly students (i.e., directions to the APAGS Suite, APAGS booth and distribution of general information about APAGS, etc.)
Distributing APAGS promotional items to students and others who show support of APAGS.
A required ambassador orientation will take place prior to convention. The orientation will provide you with valuable information about the convention and APAGS and is a great opportunity to meet and chat with fellow students attending convention. Dinner will be served at this meeting. You must attend the orientation in order to be an ambassador for APAGS.
Please note that serving as an APAGS ambassador does not offer free registration to the APA convention.
