Be an APAGS Ambassador at the APA Convention
Want to maximize your networking opportunities while attending APA’s Annual Convention? Sign-up to be an ambassador for the APA of Graduate Students (APAGS).
As an APAGS Ambassador your primary responsibilities will include:
Monitoring an APAGS program. As an APAGS program monitor you will be responsible for the distribution and collection of program evaluations. Each ambassador is responsible for monitoring at least one program during convention (a 1-2 hour commitment depending on the length of the program you are assigned).
Providing information to conference attendees, particularly students (i.e. – directions to the APAGS Suite, APAGS booth, and distribution of general information about APAGS, etc.), and;
Distributing APAGS promotional items to students and others who show support of APAGS.
A required Ambassador Orientation will take place the afternoon before convention kicks off (Wednesday, August 1, 2012, from 3:00 – 4:50 p.m.). The orientation will provide you with valuable information about the convention and APAGS and is a great opportunity to meet and chat with fellow students attending convention. You must attend the orientation in order to be an ambassador for APAGS. The deadline to apply for the Ambassador Program is June 1, 2012.
Please note that serving as an APAGS Ambassador does not offer free registration to the APA Convention.
