Award for Distinguished Scientific Applications of PsychologyThe Award for Distinguished Scientific Applications of Psychology is presented to persons who, in the opinion of the Committee on Scientific Awards, have made a distinguished theoretical or empirical advances leading to the understanding or amelioration of important practical problems. The 2004 recipients of the APA
Scientific Contributions Awards were recognized by the 2003 Board of Scientific
Affairs and selected by the 2003 Committee on Scientific Awards. Members of the committee
were Judy S. Deloache, PhD (Chair); Richard J. Davidson, PhD; William Greenough,
PhD; Gordon D. Logan, PhD; Neal W. Schmitt, PhD; and Shelley E. Taylor,
PhD.
