ProvenanceThe records of the American Psychological Association were initially given to the Library of Congress in 1967. Several large additions were given to the Library between 1968-1986. The status of the copyright in the unpublished writings among the record of the American Psychological Association in these papers and in other collections of papers in the custody of the Library of Congress is governed by the Copyright Act of the United States (Title 17, U.S.C.). A phonodisc sound recording and recordings of oral history interviews have been transferred to the Motion Picture, Broadcasting and Recorded Sound Division where they are identified as part of the American Psychological Association records. Portions of the records of the American Psychological Association were originally processed in 1968 and 1975.
