Rennie T. Georgieva – Head Librarian & Associate Archivist
Rennie graduated with an MA in Library Science from the University of Sofia.

Dan Hanlon – Associate Librarian
Dan earned an MA in Library Science from Catholic University in 2006.

Wade E. Pickren, Ph.D. -- Consulting Association Historian
Wade earned his
PhD in the history of psychology with a minor in the history of science under the
direction of Don Dewsbury at the University of Florida. He is the Associate Chair
of Psychology at Ryerson University in Toronto, where he also leads the Cultural
Strengths Research Group. For eight years, Wade was APA Historian and Director of
Archives (1998-2006). After moving to Ryerson in 2006, he remains APA Historian
and is the chief consultant to the APA Archives. He has two edited books,
Evolving Perspectives on the History of Psychology and Psychology and
the NIMH. His most recent book, Psychology and the Department of Veterans
Affairs: A Historical Analysis of Training, Research, Practice, and Advocacy,
was published in 2007. He has served as a guest editor and contributor of several
issues of the American Psychologist: “The Contributions of Kenneth and Mamie
Clark,” “Psychology and the Nobel Prize,” and “50 years after Brown v Board of
Education.” Wade's scholarly interests include the use of narratives in
understanding cultural strengths, the history of psychology and health care, the
history of efforts to make psychology truly inclusive in both theory and
practice, and the history of indigenous psychologies.

Jay Staton- Administrative Assistant
Jay earned his BA from the University of Maryland College Park in English
and Media Communications. He helps
maintain the records for the APA archives, process incoming archival materials
and to locate documents for staff and outside patrons. He also updates the APA Archives website,

Helen Suprunova -- Associate Librarian
Yelena, who joined the APA library in 2004, earned her MA in foreign languages and literature from Saint Petersburg State University, Russia. Her duties for the library include managing interlibrary loan/document delivery for staff members, overseeing the library's collection of periodicals and APA’s gray literature, providing reference services, including legal research and literature search in PubMed.
