- American Psychological Association and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts announce
collaboration on a landmark study, to assess the benefits of integrating psychological
services into medical treatment plans for women diagnosed with breast cancer. Key spokespeople from the American Psychological Associationand Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts will provide details of the study, which is expected to reveal a correlation between psychological treatment and improved physical
health outcomes, and a possible link to immunological functioning, as well
as long-term analysis of cancer recurrence and mortality.
