Campaign Overview
The
American Psychological Association (APA) Practice Directorate and the Office of
Public Communications have developed a national public education campaign to shape
evolving trends in health care. Our goal is to educate and inform the American
public on when and how to seek help for emotional problems, and to remove the
information gap that inhibits access to appropriate care and treatment.
This campaign provides an opportunity for psychologists to form a
partnership with the American public to ensure that every person struggling to
cope in these increasingly stressful times has the knowledge to make an
informed decision about seeking psychological care, and has access to the
treatment and care they require.
