APA Benefits
Leave
APA provides employees with personal time off (PTO) to be used for illness and vacations. Leave time is accrued each pay period based on length of employment with APA. Regular part-time employees working a minimum of 20 hours per week will accrue leave on a prorated basis.
Flexible Scheduling & Telecommuting
APA offers employees flexible work schedules for some positions in the organization. Based on the needs of the position and the office, an employee may be able to chose a flexible work schedule such as a 4-day work week or a 9/10 work schedule (work nine days off one day) instead of a 5-day work week.
Employees may also request in writing to work part of his/her hours at home. In order to be considered, an employee must be performing satisfactorily and be able to work independently offsite. New employees usually work onsite for a period of time before moving to a telecommuting work schedule.
Please note that all flexible work schedules as well as telecommuting schedules can revert to normal APA hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) based on the needs of the association
