Who may submit

APA members and commercial and educational film producers and distributors may submit films and other media for consideration.

Submission instructions

To obtain full instructions and requirements for submitting a film or other media program proposal, contact the APA Convention Office at (202) 336-6020. Send the submission form (not the actual film) to the Chairperson, Ad Hoc Committee on Films and Other Media.

Producers of those films deemed most suitable for further consideration will be asked to send a preview copy at a later date. In the case of proposed multimedia presentations, a sufficiently detailed description should be prepared so that the committee can make a decision on the basis of the description alone.

Discussion of film presentations

The Ad Hoc Committee on Films and Other Media recognizes that simply showing a film may not take advantage of its potential impact. Thus, wherever appropriate, you may propose a discussion following the showing of a film. It is helpful if you include names and affiliations of potential discussants for the committee's consideration.
