VISA Gift Card Contest Rules
Term: Entries will be accepted from 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 31 until 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013.
Prizes & Drawings: Seven $100 Visa Gift Cards will be awarded each day. The daily drawing will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday - Saturday, July 31 - Aug. 3.
Odds of Winning: Odds of winning will be determined by the number of completed exhibitor surveys received each day. Completed surveys will be added to the existing pool of surveys each day. Participants can only win one time. Surveys pulled each day to announce daily winners will not be returned to the pool of potential winners for subsequent days.
How to Participate: Visit the Visa Gift Card (Booth #528) in the APA Exhibit Hall at the 2013 APA Annual Convention in Honolulu. Complete a brief exhibit hall survey (including your convention badge number) and drop it in the raffle drum during exhibit hall hours. There is no cost to participate.
Notification: All participants must be present to win. The daily drawing will take place in the APA Exhibit Hall, Kamehameha Exhibit Halls I, II, and III, in the Hawaii Convention Center. If a survey entry is chosen to win in the daily drawing and the participant is not present, the entry is removed from the pool of surveys for future daily drawings.
Eligibility: Contest is open ONLY to full registrants of the APA convention. Employees and immediate family of the American Psychological Association, APA exhibitors, and dependents/spouses/guests of full registrants are NOT ELIGIBLE. This contest is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Conditions: The American Psychological Association, including their officers, employees, and agents are not in any way liable for damage, loss, or injury from entering the contest or acceptance and use of the prize. By submitting an entry, participants accept and agree to these rules and the decisions of the American Psychological Association, which shall be final. Winners assume complete liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this contest, or the use or misuse of any prizes. The American Psychological Association reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend this contest should causes beyond the control of the American Psychological Association corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the contest. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the Contest will be disqualified. Any related taxes are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. For tax reporting purposes, winners will be required to fill out a W-9 Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification or a W-8BEN Certificate of Foreign Status of Beneficial Owner for United States Tax Withholding. The information provided on these forms will be kept confidential. By accepting the prize, winners grant the American Psychological Association permission for the use of his/her name and likeness for advertising and future promotion purposes without additional compensation except where prohibited.
