Attach Your Brand to an Event as a Sponsor!

Increase your marketplace visibility through convention sponsorship. There are many onsite opportunities that you can sponsor exclusively or as a cosponsor, all designed to fit any budget (or allow us to work with you on a custom sponsorship). See Sponsorship Information for details.

Place a Flyer in the Attendee Registration Packet

Place a flyerFirst Come, First Served — available to the first 10 exhibitors who submit their request. A limited amount of space is available in the convention registration packets for exhibitors to include promotional flyers. Space is limited to product or service promotion, and cannot be used to promote sessions that are part of the formal convention program. For $2,700 (for 9,000 flyers) this is an excellent way to draw attendees to your booth. Each participating exhibitor is limited to a one-page (8 1/2” x 11”), one- or two-sided flyer (or equivalent). To reserve your space, email your request with a copy of the flyer for approval by June 13, 2014, to Mona Alcazar or Jodi Ashcraft. Upon approval, materials should be boxed, packaged on a skid, and delivered no later than July 18, 2014, to: APA Convention Registration Packets, c/o Brede National Exposition Services, ATTN: Johnny Bryant, 6801 Mid Cities Avenue, Beltsville, MD 20705, (301) 937-8600.

Conduct a Raffle

Conduct a raffleTell us the product you will be raffling by April 1, 2014, and we will list your company name, your booth number, the product to be raffled, and the time and day the winner will be announced, in the Convention Program — free! Also as a banner ad on the Convention Mobile App, your raffle information must be received no later than May 14, 2014. Please contact Mona Alcazar if you want to participate.

Additional Information Regarding the Exhibitor Raffle Drawings:

1) In the Convention Program, APA will list your company name, your booth number, the product/s or title/s to be raffled, and the time/s and day/s you will be picking the raffle winner/s (FREE!). Email Mona Alcazar which time and date you will be raffling a free item/s from the times below:

  • Aug. 7: 3 p.m.
  • Aug. 8: 12 p.m.; 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
  • Aug. 9: 12 p.m.; 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
  • Aug. 10: 10 a.m.

2) Exhibitors will be drawing the name of the raffle winner corresponding to the date/s and time/s that you have provided.

3) Raffle winners (along with your company name and booth number) will be announced during the convention over the exhibit loudspeaker during those times.

Direct Mail

Preregistrant and full attendee mailing lists are available to full booth exhibitors only (and are not available to Free-Take-One brochure booth participants or nonexhibitors).

APA Mailing List Rental

Mail to preregistrants prior to the convention through Experient. Reach the remainder of the market through APA. As an exhibitor, you can choose from a host of lists, including the APA membership, student or international affiliates, specific APA divisions, journal subscribers or a combination of lists. These are valuable, qualified prospects that you can target direct messages to by select specialty, geographic region, and more. Participate in Coffee With the Authors (FREE)

Coffee with the AuthorsSchedule your author signings for Saturday, Aug. 9, 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Send us your list of authors and titles (or products) and we’ll use the information in publicizing the event. Book signing information must be sent by May 14, 2014, (for inclusion on the Convention Mobile App), by May 20, 2014, (for inclusion in the July/August special convention issue of the Monitor on Psychology), or July 1, 2014, (for inclusion in the Convention Program Supplement). Provide Us Your 40-word Description and Web Address

Your company name, booth number, mailing address, Web address (with link to your home page), and 40-word description of your exhibit for approval of the Board of Convention Affairs, will be published in the Convention Program, on the convention website, and on the Convention Mobile App. Descriptions received after April 1, 2014, will be published in the Convention Program Supplement. Descriptions received after July 1, 2014, will only be published on the Web and on the Convention Mobile App. Using your company password provided on your confirmation letter and invoice, simply log on to APA’s interactive exhibit floor plan and complete your booth description.

Tell Us What’s New With You in 2014

With the interactive exhibit floor plan software and displayed on the Convention Mobile App, you may now provide information about your company profile, new product launches, book releases and services to be debuted at the 2014 APA convention, as well as product category information to be added in the searchable product locator. Attendees will be able to access your company information online 24/7 leading up to the APA convention.

Exhibit Booth Upgrades

Use your company logoExhibitors may enhance their APA online profile by adding their company logo and/or a product press release (logo = $80; one product press release = $105; combination of logo and product press release = $160).
