For her presidential programs, Carol D. Goodheart, EdD, highlighted the subject areas and work of her presidential task forces as well as key areas of interest to APA and psychology.

In her presidential address, Dr. Goodheart unveiled a master plan that seeks to enable practicing psychologists to "intervene at a higher level than we can now."

At Thursday’s Opening Session, former first lady Rosalynn Carter received a presidential citation for her work as a fervent advocate for people with mental illnesses.
