New APA.org site

APA will relaunch a completely redesigned web site in early 2009. Visitors to the APA Convention Exhibit Hall had a sneak peek of its new features, including:

  • Powerful search engine: A new search engine built from scratch will allow site visitors to search by keyword, date, topic, publication type, and more.
  • Improved organization: Based on member feedback, APA is reorganizing its site so that material is easier to find.
  • New customer service features: APA is developing a Web Site Help area with answers to frequently asked questions, and an easy way to contact APA.
  • myAPA member page upgrades: The page that members use to log in to their APA account will also be redesigned. New features will include an order history area to track packages; information on APA CE courses taken; the ability subscribe and unsubscribe to APA newsletters; and links to conferences and events.

Convention attendees browsed a demo version of the site, and provided feedback on what they’d like to see in the future.

Watch the current www.apa.org for a preview of the new site in the coming months.
