Be an APAGS Ambassador at the 2009 APA Convention!

How would you like to maximize your networking opportunities while attending APA’s Annual Convention? Sign up to be an ambassador for the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS)!

As an APAGS Ambassador your primary duties will include:

  1. Monitoring at least one APAGS program. As an APAGS program monitor you will be responsible for the distribution and collection of program evaluations. Each ambassador is responsible for monitoring at least one program during convention (a 1-2 hour commitment depending on the length of the program you are assigned).
  2. Providing information to conference attendees, particularly students (i.e., directions to the APAGS Suite, APAGS booth, and distribution of general information about APAGS, etc.), and;
  3. Distributing APAGS promotional items to students and others who show support of APAGS.

There will be a MANDATORY Ambassador Orientation taking place on Wednesday, August 5th from 1:00–2:50 p.m. The orientation will provide you with valuable information about the APA Convention and APAGS and is a great opportunity to meet and chat with fellow students attending convention. You MUST attend the orientation in order to be an Ambassador for APAGS.

APAGS will also host an Ambassador Social as a thank you for participating in the program. This social will take place in the APAGS Suite, Saturday, August 8th at 6:30pm.

If you would be interested in participating in the APAGS Ambassador program, please complete the Ambassador Application. Deadline to apply: May 31, 2009. Send your completed application to:
