Program The 2009 Convention program is now online. You can search the program by keyword, name, day and time, division sponsorship and index code. Sessions, participants and scheduling are subject to change. An updated online program will be posted prior to the convention. Highlights Don’t miss the plenary sessions, when dozens of big-name psychologists will share the latest in research, practice and teaching. New this year is the Convention Within the Convention. This special programming coordinated by APA President James H. Bray, PhD, features 97 hours of programming organized into specialized tracks for both scientists and practitioners. Dr. Bray's presidential programming highlights the work of his task forces on homelessness, the future of psychology practice and psychological science's future as a science, technology, engineering and mathematics discipline. Various groups within APA also have their own program tracks. Check out the Public Interest program highlights, APA Graduate Students program schedule or American Psychological Foundation lectures, for example. If you're a researcher, learn about science programming and read a scientist's guide to the convention. Are you a psychology teacher? You'll find specialized programming for community college teachers plus programming for secondary school teachers. Looking for a job? Convention attendees can find job opportunities and career resources inside the APA Exhibit Hall. DetailsAPA’s convention features two kinds of programming: programs developed by APA’s divisions and sessions sponsored by APA’s governance. Convention programs include symposia, paper and poster sessions, invited addresses, discussions, workshops and more. You’ll also have a chance to earn continuing education credits. Most convention programs will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Programs will take place from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm over the meeting’s four days. Other meetings will take place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Intercontinental Toronto Centre Hotel and the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel. APA will provide shuttle bus service between the headquarters hotels and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
