Period of public notice and opportunity for comment
The APA Commission for the Recognition of Specialties and Proficiencies in Professional Psychology (CRSPPP) has received a petition for renewal of recognition by the APA of a proficiency in the Psychological Treatment of Alcohol and Other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders. The petition is submitted by the following APA Divisions: Division 50 (Division on Addiction), and Division 28 (Division of Psychopharmacology and Substance Abuse).

Prior to CRSPPP's consideration of the petition, a period of public notice and opportunity for comment is required. A period of public notice and opportunity for comment of 60 days is available beginning March 1, 2008. Comments may be submitted until April 30, 2008. All public comments are to be submitted electronically via the Education Directorate Public Comment website at http://apaoutside.apa.org
