THE CHICAGO SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY'S APA-accredited clinical Psy.D. program is seeking affiliate (quarter-time), half-time, and full-time faculty who typify the practitioner-scholar model of teaching. Affiliate positions are available immediately and half-time and full-time positions are open for the 2008-2009 academic year. Faculty will be responsible for teaching graduate level clinical psychology courses, maintaining active scholarship, integrating technology into classroom instruction, and mentoring a diverse student body on issues pertaining to their academic, clinical, professional and scholarship development. Areas of scholarship and teaching are open, although candidates with expertise in child and adolescent psychology are preferred. In addition, candidates with expertise in existential-humanistic psychology, systems, forensic psychology and health psychology are encouraged to apply. TCS clinical Psy.D. program has received national recognition for its institutional commitment to diversity and intercultural education. Ideal candidates will demonstrate an appreciation, enthusiasm and commitment to diversity.

Candidates must have a strong commitment to academic excellence and community service. The successful candidate must have a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited institution and three to five years of teaching and clinical experience. WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY: The Psychology Department at Wesleyan University has an opening for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Cultural Psychology. The ideal candidate would have a research focus on the cultural aspects of psychological processes. The department is especially interested in locating candidates whose research addresses issues of minorities or underrepresented populations, or investigates issues of race/ethnicity, class, and gender/sexuality. Candidates should display methodological versatility, ideally including competence in qualitative methods. The candidate should have a research program that can incorporate undergraduates and should be prepared to teach an introductory cultural psychology course, research methods, and upper-level psychology courses in her/his area of expertise. OUR LADY OF THE LAKE UNIVERSITY: The Department of Psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) is seeking qualified candidates for: a) a tenure-track position in Counseling Psychology at the Assistant or Associate level to serve the APA-accredited Counseling Psychology Psy.D. program and the Psychology MS programs, and b) a permanent position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to serve the School Psychology MS program. Counseling Psychology Position: The Psy.D. program is a practitioner-scholar program. Duties include teaching graduate courses, supervising dissertations, and live supervision of practicum students. Required qualifications include: a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA accredited Counseling Psychology program, completion of an APA accredited internship, and licensed or license-eligible in Texas. Preferred qualifications include: expertise in brief, systemic, postmodern approaches to counseling and supervision, multicultural psychology, qualitative research methods, supervision, and/or Spanish language proficiency. The successful applicant will also demonstrate a desire to increase the available psychological services to underserved and minority populations. The psychology department operates a community-based clinic that serves a low-income, multi-ethnic, multi-problem population. The clinic offers opportunities for innovative practice and research. School Psychology Position: Duties include teaching graduate courses, supervising practicum and internship students, and engaging in scholarly activity. Required qualifications: a doctoral degree in psychology from a program accredited by APA and/or NASP, experience working in public schools, expertise in assessment and intervention with children and adolescents, and licensed or license-eligible in Texas. Preference will be given to those applicants that have a Doctorate in School Psychology and demonstrate willingness to pursue National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) certification or LSSP credentialing in Texas; a child psychology training emphasis; university teaching experience; experience with student supervision and mentoring; knowledge of American Psychological Association and NASP training standards; school special services experience; collaborative experience with community agencies and clinical sites; and applied research skills (or potential).
