Consultation Program
APAHC Consultation Request Form (Word 2003 Doc)
APAHC believes that consultation and mentorship are important aspects of professional development. Many career trajectories are open to us. The day-to-day decisions we make about professional opportunities and our priorities shape our career and lifestyle. Furthermore, we each face challenges related to our particular institution’s governance structure, financial pressures, and priorities. Each of our institutions is unique in some ways, but yet we face similar challenges. Consultation with other APAHC members can be a valuable resource to help us meet these challenges.
Are you facing critical decisions or seeking information about any of the career development issues or institutional challenges below? Below is a list of the types of issues for which experienced consultation is available.
We invite you to take advantage of our Consultation Program. You may do so by contacting the Program Coordinator, Dr. Cheryl King, by telephone or email, or by completing the Consultation Request Form that is enclosed in your packet and mailing it to Dr. King. She will put you in contact with one or more members of who have significant expertise in your specified area of interest or concern. Richard Seime, Ph.D., ABPP, and Carl Zimet, Ph.D., ABPP ( Past Presidents) and Brent Van Dorsten, Ph.D. will assist in identifying appropriate consultants as needed.
