My name is Dr. NiCole Buchanan of Michigan State University
and I am the President of APA Division 12 Section 6,
Clinical Psychology of
Ethnic Minorities. I am writing today to encourage you
to join or renew your membership in our section.
Psychology of Ethnic Minorities
was established to promote research on clinical interventions
with racial and ethnic minority populations; to foster
sensitivity to cultural, racial, and ethnic issues in the
training of all psychologists; to increase the quality and
accessibility of training opportunities for minority clinical
psychologists; to enhance the representation of minority
psychologists with Division 12 and APA governance; and to
provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on socio-cultural
COMMIT TO DIVERSITY in
clinical psychology, science and practice, with membership to
Division 12, Section VI
Paying it Forward with
a gift membership for a student or colleague or a donation to
support our many student awards.
(Please note, membership is welcome to those from any field of
study, the only requirement is an interest in the
psychological well-being of ethnic minority populations).
This year, we are offering a wonderful new incentive to paid

focus on issues of diversity compiled by our Recording
Secretary, Dr. Vincenzo Teran.
