Hello
members and potential members! Welcome to the Fall 2005 edition
of our e-newsletter, The Consulting Psychologist. Hard to
believe that it is soon time for our 2006 Mid-Winter Conference.
This year it will be held in San Diego, CA February 2-5 with the
theme of The Psychology of Leadership: The Consulting
Psychology Edge. You can download a brochure
and a registration
form or visit our website at http://www.apa.org/divisions/div13.
In this issue of The Consulting Psychologist, we are featuring
an article in light of the catastrophic events within the US. Dr.
Lawrence Gerstein examines the role of consulting
psychologists as professionals as well as citizens as companies
begin to rebuild in the wake on Katrina. We also look at
Division 13’s response to the disaster and what you can do to
help. In addition, Dr. Virginia Mullin interviews 2
professionals on what it means to have a psychologically healthy
workplace and how consulting psychologists can facilitate this
within organizations. Lastly, this issue features the column Prophet
Margin which interviews international member Dr. Ross
Stockwell and Books where Dr. Mary Kralj
reviews The Secret Life of Corporations by fellow member Dr.
Mark Sirkin.
As our mission is to Inform, Involve, and Intrigue,
we welcome any and all constructive feedback. See you at the
Conference!
Thank you & I look forward to your input.
