APA Division 15 Member Named Editor of

MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION IN COUNSELING AND DEVELOPMENT


The Association for Assessment in Counseling is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Editor of their journal, Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development (MECD). The current Editor, Jo-Ida C. Hansen,

Dr. Elmore began receiving manuscripts and other correspondence on August 1, 1999. As Incoming Editor of Meaurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development (MECD), Dr. Elmore seeks persons interested in serving as guest reviewers. Individuals with interests relevant to the journal's focus are encouraged to send her a letter describing areas of expertise and a current vitae.

MECD invites manuscripts concerned with research, theoretical issues, and practical applications in assessment, measurement, and evaluation in a variety of settings including schools and colleges, public and private agencies, business, industry, and government. All manuscripts must have
clearly described implications for the counseling field and for practitioners, educators, administrators, researchers, or students in assessment, measurement, and evaluation.

Patricia Elmore is Associate Dean in the College of Education and Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education at Southern Illinois University. She has been a member of the MECD Editorial
Board since 1987. In addition, she is a member of the editorial boards of Applied Measurement in Education, Educational and Psychological Measurement, and the NCME Quarterly Newsletter. Dr. Elmore is a former member of the editorial boards of The SCORE and the Journal of Educational Psychology. The current Editor, Jo-Ida C. Hansen, is a Fellow of APA and the Incoming Editor, Patricia B. Elmore, is an APA member of Divisions 5, 15, and 35.
