We invite you to become a student affiliate of APA and our division. APA is the largest
association of psychologists worldwide, and the Division of Psychopharmacology and Substance
Abuse is one of the first organizations to have the investigation of drugs and behavior
as its mission. Our members include national and international experts in
psychopharmacology and substance abuse.
Becoming a student affiliate of APA and of this division provides a forum for networking
with other students as well as distinguished researchers and clinicians. You will also have
access to listservs and websites that provide useful information about funding, post-doctoral positions,
and other educational opportunities.
Send an e-mail message to Joshua Lile, our membership chair,
to become a student affiliate of Division 28.
Student affiliate status in our division is free. While APA affiliate status is not required,
we recommend that our affiliates also become
student affiliates of APA. You would then receive free subscriptions to APA
magazines, discounts on APA journals, and low APA convention registration fees (this year,
registration was free for all APA student affiliates who presented a first-author paper). Check out the
many other benefits of APA affiliation.
